National Institute for Health Research

June 27th, 2011

The National Institute for Health Research has confirmed that we are a non-commercial partner. This means that appropriate research studies that we support are now automatically eligible for consideration for NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) support. They are also entitled to use the NIHR Coordinated System for gaining NHS Permissions (NIHR CSP) which is accessed via the Integrated Research Application System (IRAS). This is a significant advantage for those projects that satisfy the eligibility criteria of providing clear value to the NHS and involving NHS patients, staff, facilities or resources and that would benefit from NHS support. Being awarded non-commercial partner status is testament to the robust project selection criteria that we have in place. Further information about the NIHR CRM Portfolio is available at NIHR CRN Portfolio.
