Judi was the beloved wife of 39 years of Roger, adored mother of Amy and Lucy and much loved Nonna to her four grandchildren Jack, Freddy, Red and Rosy.

Judi was born in Bognor Regis to Peter and Mabel Collins and grew up in Sheet, Petersfield with her older brother Michael. She lived there until she got married to Roger in 1970. Her early married life was spent in Farnham before a short spell in Ireland. In 1973 Amy was born, followed by Lucy in 1976 when the family lived first in Singapore and then Italy. In 1982 the Meadows returned to the UK and settled in Farnham, Surrey for nearly 20 years. In 1999, Judi moved back to the Petersfield area and lived in Rogate. In recent years Roger and Judi divided their time between the UK, the Dordogne in France and Waiheke Island in New Zealand where Lucy settled in 2000.

On Saturday, 13th June 2009, nearly 200 family and friends gathered under sunny skies at St Bartholomew’s Church in Rogate for a Thanksgiving Service to say farewell to Judi.  For those who could not be there, the Order of Service, the poems and songs, and the loving words from Amy, Lucy and Roger are all included here: Download PDF
